ENHANCED LANDING PAGES

With nearly all product page templates looking the exact same for MicrosoftStore.com, it needed some customizations to entice gamers to be immersed in the experience and ultimately lead to purchases.

I designed the original template that started a series of enhanced landing pages for the launch of Xbox games. These were used in place of product detail pages to allow users to interact, browse screenshots, watch videos, and read information about the game.

PREVIOUS PAGE: The previous product detail page didn't have any customizations, but only used the generic template.

THE APPROACH: The challenging aspect of this project was that we didn't have any content. I had to start with some basic ideas and build upon them as content came through.

CUSTOMIZED PAGES: In order for the page to feel immersive and resonate well with the gaming audience, I had to get creative and thought of an idea to have characters overlap the page to give it depth. This made it challenging at times as the assets provided may not be exactly what I was looking for, but I found ways to modify them and even draw in new details to make it work.

REDLINES: I created redlines and notes for the engineers, so that they could develop it accurately to the design comps.

RESULTS: After launching the new enhanced pages, the average page conversion increased from 1.67% to 2.18%. This was a huge success and I continued to design more customized pages for other games.
